Police Arrest Suspect in Webster Bank Robbery

Police arrested a suspect Monday in the robbery of Webster Bank, 375 Bridgeport Avenue, which took place earlier in the day.

Michael Magliocco, 26, of Garden Drive in Bridgeport was charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree larceny and second-degree breach of peace. He is being held on a $100,000 bond for a Dec. 31 court date.

At around 9:55 a.m., Magliocco allegedly walked into the bank and passed a note to a teller, before making off with an undetermined amount of cash, according to a police press release. No injuries were reported, police said.

Shelton police and detectives responding to the emergency call investigated the incident this morning, eventually leading to Magliocco's arrest.
