On August 2, 20-year-old Ryan Davies of Ansonia turned himself in to police based upon an active arrest warrant. Davies was charged with risk of injury to a minor and second degree breach of peace. Davies was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Derby Court on August 16.
The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on June 22, 2012 at , located at 465 Bridgeport Ave in Shelton. Davies, who was an employee of Walmart and working at the time, is accused of showing a pornographic movie clip on his cellular phone to a 10-year-old female inside the store. Davies did not know the 10-year-old female.
Police do not believe this was a one-time incident and are looking into the possibility that Davies has done this to other people.
