House Alarm Check Leads to Marijuana Plants Discovery

Shelton Police say they obtained a warrant and found "a large quantity" inside the house.

Shelton police say they’ve arrested a husband and wife in town after finding four pounds of marijuana in various stages of growth.

William Frascatore, 32, of 43 Quaker Ridge Road, was arrested by warrant and charged with cultivation of marijuana, operating a drug factory, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana more than four ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia. His wife Julie Frascatore, 30, was arrested for risk of injury to a minor.

Officers say they obtained a warrant after an officer sent May 10 to check on a house alarm at the residence smelled marijuana and found “a large quantity” inside. Police subsequently obtained a search warrant and found the plants.

William Frascatores was released on $25,000 bond and Julie after promising to appear July 11 in state Superior Court in Derby.

Police ask any persons with illegal drug sales information to contact the Shelton Police at 203-924-1544. All calls will be kept confidential, police said.
