A section of Route 8 southbound in Seymour was reportedly shut down early Saturday morning following a car fire stemming from a motor vehicle accident.
According to a report on WTNH, the car burst into flames as a result of the single-vehicle accident, which occurred at about 7 a.m. on a bridge near Exit 22.
State police are reportedly investigating the cause. No injuries were reported.
