Bedroom Fire Damages White Hills, Shelton, Home

A Saturday morning fire accidental in origin seriously damaged the second-floor bedroom of a home at 945 Constitution Blvd. North.

"The bedroom was gutted," Fire Marshal Jim Tortora said Saturday. The house also sustained smoke damage.

The residents were cleaning up the smoke damage and were able to stay in the home.

The fire was reported at 10:41 a.m. Three engines, two ladder trucks and tanker truck from the White Hills and Huntington departments responded, Asst. Fire Chief Joseph Constantino said.
