Joseph Francis Sapelli, 42, of Woodland Park, Shelton, is charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree strangulation stemming from a domestic violence incident.
Police said the alleged victim reported the incident at Police Headquarters. Sapelli was arrested April 18.
His bond was set at $1,000.

On April 21, Michael Francis Tyszka, 28, of Walnut Tree Hill Road, Shelton, is charegd with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.
Police said Tyszka grabbed the alleged victim's cell phone during a domestic violence incident at his home.

His bond was set at $500.
Both are scheduled to appear in Derby Superior Court.
