Snow storm

With the impending snow storm and much snow on the grounds and properties around town, is there any way that the plows can be a little more considerate of personal property?  Over the past 3 years of owning a home on a corner in Shelton, I have been victim to piles of snow dumped on my property from the cross street as they plow downhill.  Just this past storm, I had the entire street of snow dumped right on the corner and then moved back onto my grass over 3 feet back.  If you look at my corner you can see grass!  That is how far they drove over my front yard.

I know the town owns the first 5 feet of my property but that is so disrespectful of residents that I feel the need to vent.  I am responsible for maintaining that 5 feet year round seeding, fertilizing, watering, cutting the grass and keeping it free of debris, yet the plows can just drive over it and leave mounds of snow.

All I ask is a little consideration and that they move the snow to the areas where there are no homes and there is plenty of that in my neighborhood.  I butt up to Rt 8 and there is an entire road where the snow can be put.
Thank you.
