Obituary: Margaret "Jo" Bozsik, Age 91

Margaret “Jo” Bozsik, age 91, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 in Statesville, N.C.

She was born Margaret Scates in Milford, CT on October 12, 1921, and lived all of her life in CT before moving to NC 3 years ago.

Jo graduated from Milford High in 1947 and married the late Robert Bozsik with whom she spent a loving 58 years.

Jo was a secretary, a Girl Scout leader, an active member of St. Lawrence church in Huntington and the Shelton Senior Center.

She loved country music, dancing, bingo and teddy bears. A trip to Ireland was a highlight of her travels. She was proud to have voted in the last presidential election.

She is survived by her devoted daughter Joanne Bellaria and her husband Frederick of Cornelius NC, grandson Jayson Bellaria and wife Meghan, granddaughter Nicole Cooper and her husband James all from CT, as well as several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.

In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her 3 sisters Mary, Caroline and Ella and 2 brothers Dennis and “Lambie”.

Jo will be remembered for her fun-loving positive spirit and generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

The Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Rd. Shelton, have been entrusted with the arrangements. Burial will be announced at a later date.
