Obituary: Elizabeth Bell Moore, Age 50

Elizabeth Bell Moore, age 50, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, January 21, 2013 surrounded by her family and friends.

Liz was born on May 25, 1962 to the late Limous and Lillian Alves Bell.

In 1969 at the age of seven, Liz was the cheerleading mascot for Central High School and later became a 1980 graduate. She held the title of class president for three years and received the Latin award for her excellence in the language. After earning her Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration from the University of Bridgeport in 1984, Liz went on to work at Cadbury Schweppes, United States Surgical Corp. and was a Senior Contract Administrator at Bayer Pharmaceuticals until its closing.

Liz was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She loved the NY Yankees, NY Giants and her favorite Top Fuel Drag Racing Driver, Tony Schumacher. Liz was loved by everyone that knew her through her short but magnanimous life. She touched many with her bright smile. She was a beautiful soul, who will be missed by all who had the honor to have her in their lives.

Liz is survived by her husband, Andre, her loving children, Leesa and AJ and her dog, Cody. Other survivors include her sister, Deborah Moye and her husband Leroy of Bridgeport, her brothers, Ronald Bell of Reno, NV and Daryl Bell and his fiancé, Joyce Bunovsky of Bridgeport, her father-in-law, Willie Moore of Bridgeport, her aunt and uncle, Mary and Thomas West of Danbury, several nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her mother-in-law, Ruth Wilson Moore.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull officiated by Rev. Brian Gannon. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends and family may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
