AAA Auto Body a VERY substandard business with unethical practices and is only in business to rip people off. Let me tell you my story. This happened today, May 17, 2013. Let me tel you my story.

I had a car accident a few weeks ago. I am fully insured so my insurance of course paid for repairs (it was my fault, minor accident). I checked out the body shop they recommended that was on their list but after looking into their reputation I decided to go with another body shop. First BIG mistake. So, I make arrangements to have the repairs done. Insurance adjuster writes up the repairs, in addition to a supplemental which of course was needed after work began.

I picked up my car (in the rain, not a good idea) so the body shop guy pretty much rushed me out the door and I left, looked the car over best I could in the rain and dusk and went home. Next day in the light and sun I see that there are three spots where the paint had ALREADY, overnight, chipped off. So I went back there the next morning before work.

The owner looked at it briefly, again in a rush. He reluctantly said he would touch it up, bring it back any time. I'm thinking - touch it up? That's not good, the paint is chipping in less then 24 hours!!!! I expressed to him that was not good enough. He was paid as agreed and this was not a good answer to 'touch it up". So, he then said bring it back and he would fix it.

Oh, by the way, I am a single woman. Do I need to say more?

So, I make arrangements, bring the car back today (5/17/13), get another rental car (the first time it was in the shop I rented a car for 6 days and one days lost work), so here we go again. Enterprise rental is on their way to pick me up at the shop.

I see the owner, who is obviously less than interested in speaking to me and ask him if I can show him the spots I'm talking about. There are other shoddy issues with the work such a bumper assembly being put on without ever ''touching up' gouges as it was a used bumper assembly.

The car is a 1993 Dodge Stealth in almost mint condition. It's my baby.

Long story short, he was arrogant, called me a bitch for being so fussy, said my car was a junk (little does he know it's actual value because of the low mileage and condition, as was valued by the insurance company) and said he's not doing any more work om my car.

I'm standing there with my mouth dropped to the floor in shock and before long I was tearing up. I was stuck. This idiot is not going to fix his shoddy workmenship and I am stuck because he was already paid.

The rental car guys picked me up, I left the car and in tears went to Enterprise now knowing what to do. Leave the car or not. I called my son who left work and we went back and got the car.

Without going into all dirty ugly details - this was a dreadful awful experience. I am shocked....still!

I went to another body shop today and they looked at it and said they knew exactly what happened...they get customers from them all the time ...same story as mine. He then tells me he can see they never sanded or primed the hood or bumper, the paint doesn't match (which is minor to me), and the paint will be completely off the hood by end of summer. Heat is going to take a toll. I'm basically screwed. $1,700 and he can fix the crappy job this guy did.
