YEP to Host 4th Annual Pinktoberfest Oct 10th

The Young Emerging Professionals will once again be hosting their annual Pinktoberfest this October. The event will be held at Molto Bene Italian American Kitchen in Ansonia from 5:00PM-8:00PM on Thursday, October 10th. Pinktoberfest is the biggest fundraising event of the year for YEP with over 100 people expected to attend. Tickets are $35 per person can be purchased online at www.CTYEP.com.

The Young Emerging Professionals (YEP), a committee of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, has hosted this event for the past three years, expanding and growing with each passing year. Held the second Thursday of October each year, the 2013 event will feature a photo booth, DJ, beer and wine tastings, food, raffle, great networking opportunities, and more.

Kayleigh Apicerno, current YEP Secretary and Pinktoberfest Committee Co-Chair, shares her view, “Being involved in the community is one of our core values, so supporting Griffin Hospital and being able to raise awareness of breast cancer aligns perfectly with what we stand for. Breast cancer has affected our area more than most. It is an honor and a privilege to be a small part of the fight for a solution.”

Pinktoberfest is one of the many events that will take place as part of The Valley Goes Pink, which is a grassroots, community-wide effort throughout the Lower Naugatuck Valley to: create awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection; support the Hewitt Center for Breast Wellness at Griffin Hospital; and showcase partnering organizations.
