A huge "Thank you" to Steve Savino, radio host at 1220AM WQUN

One of the most exciting parts of my journey as an author is meeting so many inspiring, intelligent and cultured people who understand my mission. I have met many people during the past couple of years who have added value to my life because they share the same core values.  Just a few days ago I had met radio host Steve Savino at Radio 1220 AM WQUN. He truly understands the importance of  family love, heritage, celebrations, traditions and struggles. Steve referred to my book as a "Labor of love".  He was exactly right. Every hour and minute that I had spent interviewing and writing about different people who had opened their hearts to me was a labor of love. Writing.  My work as an author is for the love of my family, friends and the special memories embedded in their hearts. I had never viewed my work as a labor of love until Steve Savino had mentioned it.

There was a special warmth at the WQUN studio as I walked into the building that evening. I did not feel like an ordinary person, but as I had met Steve and had a conversation with him, I felt extraordinary.  Most importantly, he always spoke from the heart and smiled often. My experience during Steve Savino's radio show was uplifting and I truly felt that my mission as a writer was understood. He made me feel as though my book was a gift to the world. There are many things that I have learned from Steve in such a short period of time. Learning, sharing and understanding is the best part of my journey at WQUN.  Thank you Steve Savino! It is people like you who inspire others, especially me.
