Dear owners of Howe Convenient Food - I am so very sorry to hear about the tragic fire today! My heart and prayers go out to you!!!!!

This is a note that was on FaceBook Monday night and I hope you see this message. It was sent to Kate Marks, Marks of Design.

My name is Gina Burkhart and I was the Publisher at Hometown Publications from 1996-2007. I live in Texas now, but my heart is in Shelton right now. This meeting on Tuesday morning could be of great benefit for you!

Hi Kate,

Please forgive the personal message but I thought you might be able to help.

I helped organize a meeting taking place tomorrow morning with Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro and Bernie Sweeney, Director of CT's Small Business Administration to announce SBA loans to those businesses impacted by today's fire.

The meeting will be held at 11:30am at Echo Hose Fire House on Coram Ave. We have tried to invite the owners of Petal Pusher, Joy Lee and Howe Convenient but cannot get a hold of them; the Chamber does not have their info either. Do you happen to know who they are or have their contact info? Fred and Michelle with Liquid Lunch are in.

I pray you get this e-mail and SO hope you are able to rebuild and be better than ever!!!!!!

All my Best - Gina Burkhart
