Local Teen Dances Towards Dream of Being Ballerina

Katherine Higgins of Wilton chased her dream all the way to Belgium

Some of us figure out what we want to do late in life. Others know what they were born to do from the beginning. At the young age of 16, Fairfield County local Katherine Higgins is already a recognized dancer. Growing up in Wilton, Katherine always dreamed of being a ballerina.

After years of dancing locally, Katherine was accepted and is now attending the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp in Belgium. She recently won the Senior Division of the Youth American Grand Prix in Paris.

HooplaHa - Life with a Smile decided to tell Katherine's story.
