Campaign Raises $17,000 for Kristjan Ndoj

Donations continue to come in for the Shelton teen who died Thursday from gun shot wounds.

A GoFundMe campaign started Tuesday for Kristjan Ndoj — the Shelton teen who was shot twice in a driveway on Agawam Trail last weekend — raised almost $10,000 in just over a day.

The campaign was original set up with a goal of raising $5,000 to help support Ndoj and his family as the 15-year-old Shelton High student struggles for his life.

After streaking past that goal, fundraiser organizer Violet Thaqi Wills raised the bar; and raised it again, and again.

After a $1,000 donation Thursday morning brought the total to $9,988, Wills raised the goal once more to $10,500.

“I keep changing the goal amounts and we keep surpassing them!” she wrote on the campaign’s wall, stating that, at this point, she intends to keep it alive for 7-10 days, at least.

“Thank you for the continuing support for Kristjan and his family,” Wills wrote. “Keep Kristjan in your thoughts and prayers.”

The goal was bumped up to $15,000 and then $17,000, and as of Thursday night the amount raised was in excess of the latter.

Shelton police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky said Thursday the investigation is ongoing and no new information was available.
