Dramatic Reading of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol"

VALLEY SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL AND SHELTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY
will present a staged, dramatic reading of the Charles Dickens classic tale of the true meaning of Christmas, "A Christmas Carol," on Friday, December 13th at 6pm and Saturday, December 14th at 1pm at the Shelton History Center's Wilson Barn at 70 Ripton Road, Shelton.  A reception of seasonal baked goods and warm beverages (mulled wine, cider, hot chocolate, coffee and tea) and apple juice for the little ones will precede the performances.  The tale will be performed by 6 actors playing all 26 roles, with minimal costuming and props, allowing Dickens' text to tell this perennial holiday favorite.
Tickets for the events are $10 for adults, $5 for children/students, children under age 5 are free.  Seating in the authentic (unheated!)1800's barn is very limited, so tickets must be purchased in advance.  Please visit www.vsfestival.org for more information and ticket purchase.
