Resident Files $524 Claim for Damage from Pothole

The pothole, on Birdseye Road, reportedly popped two tires and bent one rim.

The owner of a 2010 Audi wants the City of Shelton to pay for two tires that were reportedly popped by the infamous pothole on Birdseye Road.

In a claim noticed filed at the City Clerk's office on Feb. 26, Aimee Zalesky, of Big Horn Road, outlined how the pothole caused damage to the car — complete with photos and a bill for repairs.

Zalesky claims the pothole on Birdseye Road cut the right front and right rear tires and bent one of the rims. The damage cost $523.70 to fix, the claim notice states.
