Shelton Company Donates $50K to Stricken Phillipines

SSI has said it donated $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity.

The donation will  "help the people of the Philippines rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the massively destructive typhoon which hit the country recently."

According to PRI Newswire, SSI employees based in the Philippines report the housing is in urgent need.

"SSI has many employees in the Philippines with a majority living in the Cebu area. A number of our colleagues are without homes today due to the disaster," said Mary Rusterholz, SSI chief human resources officer.

"Habitat for Humanity, with the help of this donation plus that of other individuals and businesses, will help the people of the Philippines rebuild their communities."

Newswire said the company will provide updates on the progress of Habitat's work in the region via SSI's website, www.surveysampling.com, Facebook, Twitter and other social media networks.
