Lighthouse Rum Cakes Has Grand Opening Saturday in Shelton

Lighthouse Rum Cakes now has its main plant and a store at 480 Howe Ave., Shelton, with the Grand Opening on Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lighthouse Rum Cakes, LLC, located at 480 Howe Ave. (Between H&R Block and Sterling Pool) in Downtown Shelton, CT is pleased to announce their Grand Opening on Saturday, June 28 from 9 am-5 pm. Open to the Public – prizes, music and free RUM CAKE tasting will be provided all day.

An official ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 4 p.m.

Owner Jon and Michele Vallee will be joined by family, friends, Shelton Mayor, Mark Lauretti and Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce President Bill Purcell.

Lighthouse Rum Cakes is a family-owned company that began in Connecticut and can now be found in retail shops across New England.

The store in Shelton will be the new home of the main operation and a fun place for families to come see how the process of combining rum and cake is done with a full view of the kitchen and assembly line!

With several flavors of Rum Cake to try, you are sure to find a favorite! Each cake is individually prepared using only the finest farm-fresh ingredients and a secret blend of perfectly aged spiced rums. Lighthouse Rum Cakes is also known for their gourmet cookies, chocolate and caramel popcorn.

All of our products have their own story. Everything is baked from scratch and most come from very old family recipes that have been enjoyed for years.
