Fish Truck in Woodbury Seeks New Location

An application for Elliot's Seafood Truck to move across the street will come before the Zoning Commission at a future public hearing.

Anton Gnoch, owner of Elliot's Seafood Truck, filed an application with the Woodbury Zoning Commission to move his seafood truck to a new location.

Presently, the fish truck parks at 689 Main St. South, Woodbury.

"Everything will be the same," he told the commission at its Tuesday, Oct. 10, meeting at the Senior Community Center, with the exception of the location. "The use is identical."

A public hearing on Gnoch's application will take place at the Tuesday, Nov. 13, Zoning Commission meeting at the Senior Community Center, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Gnoch is seeking to move to the Sherman Village Plaza, near Ovens of France. Sherman Village Plaza is also home to Bilda Burger & More, Nutmeg Wine & Spirit Shoppe and Village Cleaners and Something More.

"All those businesses are welcoming me with open arms," he said. "We can coexist quite well together. There's a lot of parking."

He's not moving just for the halibut, seems the old location was a real pain in the bass.

Maybe the new restaurant owner needs the space for the proposed bocce court.

Got an axe to grind? You know the owner?

This guy was high priced. Last summer I bought haddock for $4.25 a pound that was fresh. I did have to buy 10lbs. I bought it in Milbridge, Maine. This fish truck wanted 12.99, what a rip.

What is puzzeling, why would someone from Cushing Maine make a 5 to 6 hour ride to go to Waterbury/Woodbury?
