New Doctor Joins Shelton Office

A new doctor is in at Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut. 

Dr. Julie Cantatore-Francis is Fairfield County’s Only Fellowship-Trained Pediatric Dermatologist. Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut, is a full-service dermatology practice with offices in Shelton and Norwalk.

Cantatore-Francis brings five years of experience. "While specializing in pediatric dermatology, her practice encompasses all aspects of general and cosmetic dermatology for both children and adults. She joins Dr. Loyd Godwin to provide a range of services and comprehensive care in custom built, state-of-the-art facilities in both Norwalk and Shelton."

Dr. Cantatore-Francis will be the only fellowship trained pediatric dermatologist in Fairfield County, alleviating patients from having to drive to New Haven or New York City for this specialty care.

Formerly in private practice in Westchester, Dr. Cantore-Francis graduated magna cum laude from Williams College. She received her medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical center where she was also chief resident. Dr. Cantatore- Francis went on to do a pediatric dermatology fellowship at New York University. She is active in the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology. She was also appointed to the FDA’s General and Plastic Surgery Devices Panel, which is responsible for wound healing devices, esthetic injectable wrinkle fillers, and cosmetic implants.
