Mary Dorland of Shelton is one of three people selected as Bridgeport Hospital’s employees of the quarter, April–June, for her outstanding service to patients and colleagues.
Dorland, the April employee of the month, is a nurse in the hospital’s Angioplasty Suite.
“Mary delivers quality care to her patients and reminds us that patient care is about the whole person, including lifestyle and family,” her nominators write. “Mary has a very positive influence on those around her. She exemplifies the very best of what it means to be a nurse, team player and a mentor.”
Employees of the Quarter receive a plaque and a letter of commendation, and are eligible to be selected as Bridgeport Hospital’s Employee of the Year.
David Harden, of Stratford, was selected as the May employee of the month. Lillian Grich, of Monroe, was honored for June.
