Shelton Pop Warner Breast Cancer Awareness Day

In memory of a former SPW president Grace Searles who suffered from breast cancer, an annual Breast Cancer Awareness Day takes place at the field named for Gracie. On this day monies raised at the 50/50 raffle and raffle prizes are donated to a worthy Awareness cause. The past few years donations have gone to the St Vincent's Hospital Mobile Mammogram Unit which provides free and low-cost Mobile Mammography Screenings to those who qualify . The Mobile Mammogram Unit will be coming to our field for a visit on Sunday October 23 between 11-2. Screening appointments for anyone interested can be set. Please see visit the Mobile Mammogram staff for more information.

The visit to to thank everyone for their support and also to provide services for anyone in need.
