Sign Ups for Show Biz Kidz Theatre Camp

Aspiring young actors and musicians are encouraged to participate in the Showbiz Kidz Theatre Camp at the That's Showbiz Dance Theatre School, 59 Bridgeport Ave. in Shelton, this summer.

The program is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 15 and rehearsals will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from July 16 through Aug. 17. It will culminate with performances in the musical "Honk! Jr." on Aug. 16 and 17.

Of the musical written for kids, Michael Litfin of Palo Alto Children's Theatre said, "'Honk! Jr.' is a great reminder of all the things we hope kids learn — accept others for who they are, not what they look like, remember that being different is okay, and remember that out there somewhere, someone's gonna love you — warts and all!"

To register for the Showbiz Kidz Theatre Camp, visit the customer portal on the That's Showbiz Dance Theatre School website and log in with your email address, the school will then send you a password and information on how to register.

In the calendar listing on Shelton Patch, the school says, "We fill up quickly so register soon and be a Showbiz Kid!"
