The Snow Queen Auditions

THE SNOW QUEEN

By Charis Performing Arts

This original tale by Hans Christian Andersen has very strong Christian themes about the struggle between good and evil. The story is about Gerda, a little girl, who goes off in search of her friend Kai who’s heart has been made as cold as ice and has been taken by the Snow Queen.  She comes across an array of characters-old women, crows, royalty, and robbers, on her way to Lapland where the Queen lives in her castle.  Unsure of where to turn for help Gerda recites The Lord’s Prayer over and over as angels come and help her defeat the Snow Queen and rescue Kai bringing spring back to the world.
