Who is "The Nameless Trio"?

Matt Miklus - Resophonic guitar, mandolin, guitar, vocals
Morgan Morse - mandolin, guitar, vocals
Patrick Haddon - bass

The Nameless Trio emerged from Matt Miklus' once a month acoustic appearances at The Twisted Vine in Derby.   Matt has been a part of the local and regional music scene since 1994 as singer/songwriter, guitar player in the highly improvisational and popular rock band Hubinger St.  In 2004 Matt began to explore his passion for traditional acoustic music with the release of  his first solo CD.  This CD was a mix of various genres of music presented with a traditional Americana sound on acoustic guitar and mandolin.   Since then he has established different arrangements of musicians to continue this pursuit and provide live music for events, clubs and cafes.  In 2007 he recorded a second acoustic CD entitled "From the Hillside", another eclectic mix of traditional sounding acoustic music.

In the spring of 2011 Matt appeared at the "Bluegrass on The Bogs" festival in Carver, MA for his annual performance there accompanied by Pat Haddon on bass and Morgan Morse on mandolin.  They've been pickin' together ever since.  After almost a year performing together they decided to produce their first CD. Just in time for their one year anniversary and another performance at The Bluegrass on The Bogs Festival in MA.  This CD features five original compositions as well as a four cover tunes.
Pat Haddon has also been a part of the local music scene for numerous years.  He's been carrying the low end in several popular electric blues projects such as the Crown Street Orchestra, The Gatehouse Band, and The Travis Moody Band. Pat also shares the drive to pursue acoustic roots music and performs regularly with the original  "bluegrassy string band" One Way Track as well as The Nameless Trio.

Morgan Morse is not a veteran to the local music scene at all but not because of any lack of talent but rather because he's only 18 years old.  He may not have much experience in the local club scene but he is definitely no stranger to performing.  He has already traveled to m any parts of the world performing with the Fairfield County Children's Choir and has performed in several theater productions at the Naugatuck Valley Comm. College. He is also the leader of local band Cold-Blooded Mammals and occasional keyboard player of Fairfield based rock band Girls on Bikes.   Morgan is a talented singer/songwriter and proficiently plays piano, guitar, bass, mandolin, and just about any instrument you put in his hands.

These three guys all bring a different perspective and personal style to the table as The Nameless Trio which helped them establish their own sound.  Their debut self titled CD is a celebration of the beginning of their collaborations.  Come and join them on Friday July 6th at the Twisted Vine on Main St. in Derby.  Downstairs in the Birmingham Cellar. Music starts at 8pm and will run till at least midnight featuring several musical guests throughout the evening.
