Trumbull Author Wants Your Photos for Poetry Book

How about a haircut and some family history?

Trumbull Author Joanna Leone will be appearing Saturday at the Townhouse Salon, 8 Lake Ave., Trumbull from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Leone is author of Slices of Life: Italian-American Stories, covering families from all over the state, and has been signing copies of her books all summer at different locations.

"It will be 'Slices of Life Day' at the salon, which also means 10 percent off haircuts and all hair products," Leone said. "Of course there will be Italian cookies and Italian sodas. Walk-ins are welcome ( they have enough staff) or a person can make an appointment."

"My book will be available for sale and complimentary book marks will be given out," she added.

Leone's latest literary effort is to put poetry to people's family photos. She is still collecting photos.
