Ndoj Family Thanks Hospital, Community; Asks for Privacy

The family released a statement through their attorney Thursday evening.

The Ndoj family released a statement Thursday evening asking for privacy in their time of grieving and affirming their confidence that the person that shot their 15-year-old son will be brought to justice.

Kristjan Ndoj passed away Thursday after being shot twice Saturday night in a driveway on Agawam Trail. During a press conference Thursday, police said they are following up on all possible leads in a “very complex investigation.”

In their statement, the family also thanks the doctors and staff at Bridgeport Hospital for “their heroic efforts in trying to save Kristjan’s life,” and the support they’ve received from the community over the last 5 days.

Ndoj Family Statement:

Today, the Ndoj family suffered the horribly tragic loss with the passing of their beloved Kristjan. A bright boy, and naturally gifted athlete, who seemed wise beyond his years, will be remembered by all who knew him for the sparkle in his bright green eyes.

As the family grieves and looks to their faith to sustain them in this trying time, they request that the media and public respect their privacy and refrain from contacting them.

The family does wish to express their appreciation and deepest thanks to all the doctors, staff and the entire team at Bridgeport Hospital for their heroic efforts in trying to save Kristjans life.

The family also wishes to express their appreciation to the Shelton Police Department and other cooperating agencies for their tireless efforts in investigating this senseless act of violence. They remain confident that the police investigation will lead to the arrest of the responsible part or parties.

Finally, the family wants to thank their Shelton neighbors, as well as all those who offered their kind and thoughtful expressions of love and support toward Kristjan and his family.
