Harvest House V Needs a Fill Up

For a good time this weekend and to help feed the Valley, come to Harvest House V in Downtown Shelton.

The event starts Saturday at 8 a.m., ends after a viewing of "Finding Nemo" at 6 p.m., then resumes Sunday at 9 a.m. with breakfast. It ends Sunday with a dance display at 3 p.m.

In between you'll find face painting, a Moon Bounce, a Beardsley Zoo exhibit, supper by the Girl Scouts and Liquid Lunch, Touch-a-Truck, and a magic show, among other things.

According to one Shelton Patch Blogger, "Harvest House is a collaborative bi-annual effort to construct a 400 square-foot house and fill it with more than 100,000 items of food and non perishables, which are later distributed to Valley-based food banks and agencies for people in need. Over the years the event have collected enough food to provide one million meals for Valley families."

Non-perishables, gift cards and coupons can be donated.
