100-Year-Old House Razed For Library Parking Lot

A home across the street from the Plumb Memorial Library, formerly owned by the Sadick family, was razed Wednesday night.

According to one Facebook user, who says she grew up in the home, said the home is owned by the Library and the site will be used for library parking.  It is at the corner of Wooster Street and Perry Avenue.

Shelton Fire Chief Fran Jones said city firefighters have been practicing search and rescue techniques in the home using smoke machines.
