SHELTON –State Representative Jason Perillo (R-113) visited the Shelton headquarters and manufacturing center of Electri-Cable Assemblies (ECA) to personally congratulate the company on its having been named the featured manufacturer of the week by CONNSTEP. Perillo joined their team on the manufacturing floor and congratulated them, presenting an official citation recognizing their achievement from the Connecticut General Assembly.
ECA designs and manufactures power, data and electrical solutions for office furniture. Many of their products are used in conference room, business, and library applications.
“Electri-Cable is a great example of a local company that does it right,” said Perillo. “It’s no secret that the State of Connecticut is not a business-friendly state. For Electri-Cable to overcome the obstacles of state government to enjoy the success they have had under their lean business model is a great statement about their company. They simply deliver a good product efficiently.”

ECA employs 65 skilled workers at their facility, and have been awarded the AME Northeast Excellence in Manufacturing Award by the Association for Manufacturing Excellence. They were founded in 1975. The Made in CT Program (www.made-in-ct.com) is featured on the CONNSTEP website where the state’s manufacturers can showcase their products and services as well as demonstrate their contributions to the public.
