“We are honored to be recognized by the Chamber and privileged to be working in partnership with CCA to help bring Thanksgiving Day meals to families and seniors in New Haven,” said John Zinno, BlumShapiro’s Shelton Office Managing Partner.

In 2012, the BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for Christian Community Action collected non-perishable food items and monetary donations to provide 2,300 full traditional meals, a record in CCA’s 30-year history of providing the holiday meal.

The food drive was supported by many other businesses, individuals, schools, churches and civic groups, as well as News 8 WTNH. In addition, more than 300 volunteers, including more than 80 BlumShapiro employees and their family members, came together in a “bagging weekend” to sort and bag all donated food items in preparation for distribution to New Haven families and seniors before Thanksgiving Day.
