Steve Obsitnik and Rep Tony Hwang take the Sandwich Tour to Fairfield

Fairfield—Steve Obsitnik, candidate for US Congress in Connecticut’s fourth District  and Rep. Tony Hwang Connecticut State Representative for the 134th District joined Steve’s “Sandwich Tour” with a stop at Chip’s Family Restaurant . 

Rep. Hwang and Obsitnik spent the morning going from table to table, speaking with people and learning about the issues that voters feel are most important. Steve and Tony spent time with Bradley Weinstein, a chiropractic doctor, Sue Dow, a former member of the Fairfield Board of Education, Karen Egri, Vice Chairperson of the Trumbull RTC,  Michael Love, a junior at George Washington University and Richard and MaryAnna Kopchyak.

Tony Hwang was elected to represent the 134th District in Hartford in 2008. In 2010, Tony was re-elected with 70% of the vote. He is currently seeking re-election. Tony presently sits on the Appropriations, Government Administration and Elections and Environment committees.

Steve Obsitnik has been a technology industry entrepreneur and small business executive for more than 15 years.  Mr. Obsitnik is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with honors.  Prior to Annapolis, Mr. Obsitnik graduated from Stamford High School in 1985 where he was a captain of the varsity soccer team.  After graduating from Annapolis, he served for five years in the U.S. Navy, primarily as a Lieutenant on board the U.S.S. Ray, a nuclear attack submarine.  After completing his naval duty, Mr. Obsitnik attended The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Master’s in Business Administration with a degree in finance.  He is also an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at the Jack Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.  Mr. Obsitnik lives in Westport with his wife Suzanne and their two daughters
