Registration for Valley Regional Adult Education Academic Programs

Valley Regional Adult Education’s academic programs begin the week of January 28th, 2013.

English as a Second Language (ESL) class helps students improve reading, writing and speaking English.Registration is January 22nd and 23rd at 9:30am at the Adult Learning Center in Shelton and at 6:30pm at the following school sites: Derby High School, Seymour High School, Ansonia Middle School, Masuk High School and the Adult Learning

Center in Shelton.

GED class prepares students in the areas of writing, reading, science, social studies and math for the state
administered GED exam. Registration is January 16th and 17th at 6:30pm and January 22nd and 23rd at 9:30am at the Adult Learning Center in Shelton.

Citizenship class teaches American history and government in preparation for the citizenship test. Registration is
January 29th at 4pm at the Adult Learning Center in Shelton.

The Adult Learning Center is located at 415 Howe Ave. in Shelton.

In person registration is required.There is no fee for any of the above classes. Limited enrollment is on a first
come first served basis. Students must be a resident of Ansonia, Derby, Monroe, Seymour or Shelton to participate. All classes begin the week of January 28th.For
