CT Working Moms Blogger Elise Schreier to Appear on Ricki Lake Show
The Connecticut Working Moms (CWM) website, an online resource for women balancing work and family life is pleased to announce that one of their bloggers, Elise Schreier of Newington will appear on the Ricki Lake Show in California for a taping on Thursday, January 17, 2013. Elise and her wife, Andrea, will discuss gay parenting in front of a live studio audience.
Elise was found by one of the producers for an interview she did on www.itsconceivablenow.com. Also, Elise has her own blog called Our Growing Family (www.2mommies2be.wordpress.com) where she discusses her journey to parenthood, including struggles with infertility, becoming foster parents and adopting a sibling group of three. Her goal of the interview with Ricki Lake is to help get an inside look at gay parenting and same-sex families; and to help see just how far from an "alternative lifestyle" it is.
“I'm happy to take any opportunity to normalize gay parenting. To show the world that parenting with two moms is just as happy, loving, crazy, and hard as any other family configuration,” said Elise Schreier.
