Lights! Camera! Murder! in Shelton

Here's whats happening in and around Shelton for Thursday, Aug. 22. All meetings are in City Hall unless otherwise noted.

  • Board of A&T - Full, 6 p.m.
  • Lights! Camera! Murder!, 6:30 p.m., Plumb Memorial Library. Lights! Camera! Murder! by Shelton author Amanda Marrone is in rehearsal, local folks interested in being part of the event are welcome to attend the 6:30 p.m. session at Plumb Memorial Library. The Friends of the Shelton Libraries are sponsoring this year’s mystery dinner at the Shelton Senior Center on Meadow Street. Volunteers to assist with set up and other aspects of the evening are welcome to contact either library. Tickets are $30 per person on sale at both libraries.  fundraising tickets include a dinner catered by AriBella of Huntington and prizes from local merchants and businesses.
  • Teen Booked for Lunch, 12:30 p.m., Plumb Memorial Library. Teens 13-19 discuss Insignia by S.J. Kincaid, a futuristic look at a video gamer teen changing the course of history in WWIII as an elite military academy trainee and government secret weapon; multiple copies available in the Teen Room, lunch provided.
  • St. Jude Church Italian Festival,  Thursday 6 p.m. – 10 p.m., Friday 6 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., Saturday 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.; 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe
